The very first time we have ever produced a Nouveau style wine and a wine from Zweigelt. This wine is terrific and as fun to drink as it is to talk about. When you first look at the wine in the glass you might think you are looking at a cosmopolitan. It is a vibrant pink/cranberry. Raise the glass and you will smell zippy cranberry, touch of raspberry, black pepper, and some savory herbal notes including bay leaf. Take a sip and the palate explodes with a laser like bright acidity, slightly under ripe cranberry, and rhubarb black pepper tart - tantalizing. As the wine leaves the palate it dances to the finish with a persistent brightness. A lovely drink which begs for the next sip. Where to begin when we talk pairing - it is Thanksgiving. Take every dish on your Thanksgiving table, take a bite and then a sip. It will brighten the turkey, The cranberry will have met its’ cousin, the stuffing, well just make sure you leave some for someone else who is having the wine.
