The 2024 Stone Tower Estate Sauvignon Blanc is reminiscent of wine you might find in the Loire Valley. The wine is platinum in color and has a lustrous white halo.   On the nose the wine is exceptionally fruit forward with pronounced gooseberry, a touch of papaya and candied lime. This unctuous fruit carries through on the palate and beautifully integrated oak brings a touch of vanilla and a trace of pear. The finish lingers with pear and a lovely essence of vanilla.  Bring on soft briny and sour cheese like goat cheese. Grill some fresh fish and serve outside on a cool summer night.   Enjoy the wine with some chicken salad and or salad nicoise.  Vegetable lovers will rejoice when they grill or roast vegetables or make a vegetable quiche - the wine and food will come alive.  This wine should be a little more chilled and served between 52° and 55°. The wine should be consumed now but will certainly retain it vibrance through 2027.
