Maison Sanglier is our newest label at Stone Tower Winery, and it was created for our new project in Burgundy, France. In late 2016, the Hubers had the unique and privileged opportunity to purchase some select vineyard sites in and around the famous Burgundian village of Pommard. Burgundy possesses some of the most renowned vineyard sites on the planet, and to many, it is the world's greatest winegrowing region. This bottling is stunner: it's a medium-bodied white bottling that has classic Old World Chardonnay aromatics, hallmark Burgundian minerality, brilliant acidity, and a lengthy finish. It is sourced from a miniscule vineyard site just outside of Pommard in the Cotes de Beaune. While fermented and aged in oak, this is certainly not 'oaky;' rather, it is a brilliantly textured and layered Chardonnay.
