This superbly elegant bottling is sourced entirely from our estate vines and represents an incredible triumph over the challenges posed by Mother Nature in 2018. A parent to both Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, Cabernet Franc is one of the world's most extraordinary (yet underappreciated) varietals, and it brilliantly captures the 'essence of place' from which it is produced. In Virginia, this varietal has found an amazing environment to thrive along with an enthusiastic winegrowing community and devoted fan base. This wine is a celebration of the varietal's prestigious roots and importance to our state's community. This wine strikes a perfect balance and is much more similar to the quality bottlings you find along Bordeaux's right bank.
