2018 Wild Boar Riesling
Arguably the most undervalued grape varietal on the planet, Riesling is the dominant grape of Germany and could claim to be the finest white variety in the world. The vine has a profound ability to transmit the unqiue characteristics of a vineyard and climate and (with the top bottlings) have the ability to age for decades in bottle! Intensely flavorful and thirst-quenching, Rieslings are incredibly food friendly, and given the misperceptions of the grape, it represents an incredible value in the global wine marketplace. For this wine, the fruit was sourced from the Finger Lakes AVA of New York from a single vineyard site along Cayuga Lake. The wine is precise, bone dry (no residual sweetness), and is a more textural Riesling (reminiscent of Alsace, France). This wine is downright tasty!
100% Riesling.
