2016 Wild Boar Pinot Noir
Pinot is one of the world's oldest known grapes and is perhaps the most prestigious varietal. While much of our estate is best suited for the Bordeaux varietals, there are several unique micro-climates in which they are not ideal. In one such area, we planted several acres in 2015, and to celebrate our estate Pinot vines, we began producing our Wild Boar Pinot Noir. Since 2014, this bottling has quickly and routinely been a signature favorite for our guests. In this particular vintage, the fruit is sourced from the Russian River Valley of California, and given the prestige of this appellation (and several years of additional bottle aging), this wine is an extraordinary value and drinking exquisitely well. This bottling still has a few more years of development left, and it will give you many different pairing options given its versatile flavor profile!
