2014 Estate Wind Swept Hill
The Wind Swept Hill is easily one of our most iconic, sophisticated, and ageworthy bottlings. This wine is inspired by the legendary 'Right Bank' Bordeaux blends produced from Saint-Emilion and Pomerol, and as such, is consistently a wine dominated by Cabernet Franc and Merlot, which are two of the state's top performers in terms of quality. The name pays homage to the previous tenants of the farmland upon which our vineyards are now located as well as the persistent winds that characterize the mountain terroir. With nearly two years of aging in French cooperage (and several more in bottle), this wine is drinking beautifully now and should easily age through 2025.
31% Merlot, 28% Cabernet Franc, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Petit Verdot.
