2013 Estate Petit Verdot
Produced entirely from our vines on Hogback Mountain, this is quite simply the most concentrated, full-bodied, and delicious wine produced from our property. While historically used as a blending component in Bordeaux, this grape is finding a natural home in Virginia where it shines as a star grape, and based on its natural suitability for our climate and soils, it has considerable potential to expand the prestige of our winegrowing region. Here, the addition of Cabernet Sauvignon and nearly 22 months in barrel have helped add considerable depth to the wine. Enjoy now, but this wine has alonglife ahead of it. Only 90 cases were originally produced!
