2013 Estate Hogback Mountain
The Hogback Mountain is arguably our flagship bottling, represnting the apex of quality, sophistication, and ageworthiness of our top wines. This wine is inspired by the legendary 'Left Bank' Bordeaux blends from communes like Saint-Julien, Paulliac, Margaux, etc., and as such, it has always been a Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant blend. The name pays homage to the ancient and unique geology that comprises our Estate vineyard site. With nearly two years of aging in French cooperage (and several more in bottle), this wine is drinking beautifully now and should easily age through 2030.
69% Cabernet Sauvignon; 24% Merlot; 4% Cabernet Franc; 3% Petit Verdot
