This Chardonnay presents with a brilliant clarity and a pale yellow-green complexion. The nose is greeted with tangerine peel, green pear and honeydew melon, complimented by a hint of white peach. Medium-bodied with a crisp acidity, the wine opens up across the pallet with a smooth finish.
Our 2014 Windswept Hill leaps out of the glass with notes of ripe cranberry, berry cobbler, and
tobacco. 30% Merlot, equal parts Cab Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon at 28%, and finished with a bit
of Petit Verdot our right bank representation is full bodied yet approachable. A wonderful marriage of
Old and New World styles, the Windswept Hill compliments aromas of dried cherry with mineral
notes of blacktop after a summer rain. Aged for 20 months in French oak barrels, a rich finish of dark
chocolate will leave your mouth watering.
Our third vintage of Wind Swept Hill brings an abundance of bright ripe red fruit, hints of licorice, followed by aromatics of cedar, a blend of dried blueberries, currant, lilac with a hint of forest floor. With Cabernet Franc dominating the blend, this full body red has a wonderful herbaceous quality but the support from Merlot rounds out the wine with a beautiful softness on the mid palate.
Don’t let the movie Sideways fool you, Merlot is a force to be reckoned with! With a natural vigor in the vines and a resilience in the market, Merlot is one of the most popular and recognizable varietals in the world. With ripe red fruit flavors on the nose and a back palate of dark chocolate, our 2016 vintage of Wild Boar Merlot is sure to be a people pleaser. French Oak aging is evident in the bouquet of baking spices that leap out of the glass and a finish that lingers long after the last drop. Easy to drink now, this wine will continue to develop and shine for years when cellared.
2017 was a wonderful second vintage for our Estate Sauvignon Blanc. Similar to its Bordeaux counterparts, our Estate Sauvignon Blanc has a small percentage of Semillion from the estate blended in to round out the palate. Spending 7 months in both neutral and new French Oak Barrels, the perfect wine for summer as blooming flowers and lemon zest greet you on the nose.
